On Saturday 18th July we held our first community garden drop-in session of the year at the Bowling Green. The sun shone and we enjoyed being able to have people onto the site after so many weeks in lockdown.

The session was created to welcome members of the community who would like to volunteer to support the future design and development of the space, are interested in growing food, flowers and creating a fruit orchard plus support on site with basic garden maintenance and composting etc. It was held in association with Urban Roots who will be working with us to develop the community garden space.

If you missed the drop-in session but are interested in getting involved with the creation of a community garden at the Bowling Green, send an email to: bowlinggreen@pollokshields.net
